Canon EOS XSi/450D
After spending weeks agonizing over which digital single lens reflex camera to buy, the Canon XSi /450D is the one. It is my first DSLR.
The Digital Rebel XSi is a bit more advanced than most entry level DSLRs. According to Canon, the XSi incorporates features found on some of its more expensive, semi-professional DSLRs.
The XSi has several improvements over its predecessor: a faster processor, improved nine-point autofocus, Live View with dual autofocus modes, spot metering, a larger LCD screen and a larger, brighter viewfinder. It also has an updated menu system.
I explain elsewhere in my blog why I chose the XSi over two other DSLRs made by Nikon and Olympus. That decision was made before the recent reviews of the XSi were published. And thus far, the reviews have been impressive.
I'm a big fan of Canon cameras and, to be quite honest, I've never bought one that has disappointed me. I've owned five compact Canon digital cameras.
In this blog, I'll be sharing insights and things I learn as a first-time DSLR user. Hopefully, these comments will help other new DSLR and Canon XSi/450D users.
