Sony camera defects '06

Sony announced a defect in some of its Cybershot compact digital cameras sold between September 2003 and January 2005. Sony will repair affected cameras free of charge.
The liquid crystal display screens of eight camera models may display images incorrectly, the images can be distorted or the cameras may not take photos at all. The problems can occur especially when the cameras are used in humid and/or hot environments.
The Cybershot models are:
- DSC-F88
- DSC-M1
- DSC-T1
- DSC-T11
- DSC-T3
- DSC-T33
- DSC-U40
- DSC-U50
