Other features to consider when buying a digital camera
Optical image stabilization - image stabilization helps prevent blurred images due to camera movement.
High ISO - reduce the effect of camera shake when taking pictures in low-light by increasing a cameras sensitivity to light. Take photos without a flash.
Face detection - - the camera detects faces in a scene and automatically focuses and optimizes exposure and flash output.
Extended optical zoom - extend the maximum zoom range of a digital camera without losing image quality.
PictBridge compatible - use the camera with a PictBridge compatible printer to print photos without a computer.
Diopter adjustment dial - if you don't want to wear eye glasses when taking photos.
For creative control - buy a camera with advanced controls such as manual and semi-automatic modes, exposure compensation, manual focusing, etc.
Hot shoe - for mounting an external flash, which produces much better results than a tiny built-in flash.
Mega-zoom - take shots at long telephoto lengths. Image stabilization recommended.
Burst mode - Shoot continuously in rapid succession. For best results you'll need a camera with a fast processor and use a high speed memory card.
Digital camera grip - each digital camera has a different "feel" so make sure the one you choose fits comfortably in your hands.
