MobileMate Card Reader
I couldn't resist buying a SanDisk MobileMate card reader when my eyes first fell on one in an electronics retail store. At the time of this writing, it's the smallest memory card reader on the market.
The MobileMate fits perfectly in a zippered compartment in my purse. So I have it, and my beloved Canon SD700IS, with me all the times. I don't lug around the largest purse in the world so my makeup bag had to go to make room for more important stuff!
I use Secure Digital cards but this lightweight reader also accepts MiniSD, MMC, RS-MMC, and TransFlash flash-memory cards.
The MobileMate comes with a USB travel cable, extra cap and key ring.
The key cap in theory should allow me to attach the reader to my key ring. It doesn't. It slips off easily and is good for nothing.
I called SanDisk months ago and they promised to send me a replacement. I actually forgot about it until I started writing this article. Gotta call them again today.
