Mike Farslow

Mike is a Quality Manager from central Connecticut who like many parents took numerous pictures of his three children growing up (however the photo here is Mike). Having always enjoyed nature and not wanting to shelve the camera when there were no "events" to record, he soon expanded his range.

Everything became fair game: breakfast, birds, trees, whatever presented itself.

In the fall of 1989 Mike had the opportunity to spend a month in Xian, China. This is where the love of photography really took hold. Taking pictures of places and things he might never see first hand again cemented the reality that everything is unique and subject to constant change. He wanted a personal record of it from his own perspective.

As with any hobby there has been and ebb and flow to Mikes photography but it never faded away. With the purchase of a digital camera it took him to a new priority.

Mike loves the idea of taking virtually unlimited photos without the development costs of film. He is thoroughly infatuated with the idea of being able to edit his own pictures without a darkroom.

For Mike, it's a rare day when new pictures aren't taken.

Mike, known as Mike54 the Modschievous Scamp at Outfront forums, is a moderator there. He is also a part-time web designer.

Mike uses a FujiFilm 3800 and a Canon EOS-300D digital SLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex camera).
