Blur
Blur due to camera shake for shot taken inside a room with low lighting. Using a flash would help “freeze” the action by causing the camera to use a faster shutter speed; use a mini-tripod.
Horizon
Didn’t notice tilted horizon line. Check angle of the horizon, and other vertical and horizontal lines, before shooting. Straighten horizon with image editing software by rotating and cropping.
Underexposed
Underexposed image (too dark) due to strong backlighting – Take photo from another angle. Or should have locked in focus and exposure on the darker area, then recompose. Also could have used Auto Exposure Bracketing or changed the EV (exposure value) to a plus (+).
Depth of field
Depth of field (DOF) too shallow – Should have increased DOF by using a smaller aperture.
Strap
The camera bag, hanging off the photographer’s neck, swung down into the photo as close-up photo was taken. Put the bag on the ground before shooting.
Overexposed
Overexposed image (too light) – Should have locked in focus and exposure on a lighter area, then recompose. Also could have used Auto Exposure Bracketing or changed the EV (exposure value) to a minus (-).
Movement
Blur due to movement of the subject. Should have waited until the wind died down or used a faster shutter-speed to freeze the subject.
Blown out
Blown out area due to improper metering. Use Spot meter and meter on or near brightest area.
