About Digicamhelp
Digicamhelp is committed to helping educate others about the exciting world of digital cameras and photography. Our approach is simple: present information in an easy-to-understand and non-technical manner.
Who will find Digicamhelp most useful?
Our audience consists of beginner and intermediate digital camera users. Visitors also include those who need help deciding what type of camera to buy and advanced users who find the information valuable as they transition from film to digital. Our emphasis is on compact digital cameras.
A little history
Digicamhelp, created and owned by Gail Bjork, started as a small sub-web of another site. It originally contained only about 14 pages.
It was a place where she referred friends, who frequently asked her about buying and using digital cameras. They found much of the available online information too technical, long-winded and difficult to understand. Gail created a website where they could learn quickly and easily about digital photography.
A friend and master web developer, Katherine Nolan of InKK Design, encouraged Gail to expand her sub-web. It was revamped and officially launched in the late fall of 2003, as Digicamhelp.
And today
Digicamhelp now consists of well over 1500 pages of easy-to-understand information about digital photography. The site is truly one of the "easiest places on the web to learn about digital photography!"
